Training vacancy for a 2020 starter for EIP Digital in the Cardiff office.

EIP has a practice which has been built upon a balanced diet of direct client and foreign associate work, with a client base which includes major mobile phone companies, universities, financial institutions, software developers and venture-capital-funded companies in Silicon Valley in the US. EIP Digital, the high-tech division of EIP, is a class-leading electronics practice group with a number of directory-listed partners and a portfolio of high-profile clients. We have a need to recruit up to four highly skilled trainee patent attorneys with experience in digital signal processing, semiconductors, software, communication technologies and image processing. Typically, candidates will have completed an electronic engineering, physics or related degree and either a Masters or PhD in addition.

Those trainee attorneys who have been most successful at EIP have been able to demonstrate:

  • Appropriate professional attitude (e.g. personable, prepared, flexible and enthusiastic);
  • Excellent academic background;
  • Strong analytical skills; Strong presentation skills;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • The ability to demonstrate initiative and the ability to act independently.
