While Samsung have failed in getting the lawsuit against them dismissed they managed to successfully argue that a few of their devices should escape a ban.

Models exempt from the ban include the Galaxy Ace, Galaxy S and Galaxy S II. The list is compiled mainly of phones which only reach US shores through unofficial suppliers.

Apple are still hoping for a large licencing fee to be imposed for all the alleged transgressions.
