The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) have released two documents giving an overview of the changes proposed by the IP Bill.
The changes are currently being debated in the Houses of Parliament and if they are agreed on they will be implemented in 2014. Currently the Bill is at the report stage in the House of Lords.
With changes being recommended in both design and patents, the IPO has created the two PDF documents to provide an overview of the proposed actions.
The overviews give a summary of the key information from the bill as well as an explanation of what this could mean for both patent holders and third parties.
If you are interested in a career in patents, knowing about these proposals will help you to show your interest and your understanding of the changes that could affect the profession.
