JDD hold fully residential revision and online courses between May and August for candidates preparing for the October Patent Examination Board (PEB) examinations of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys.
We have two-day courses for each of the five Foundation Certificate (FC) papers: FC1 (UK Patent Law); FC2 (English Law); FC3 (International Patent Law); FC4 (Design & Copyright Law); and FC5 (Trade Mark Law).
We have a range of course options for each of the Final Diploma (FD) papers: FD1 (Advanced IP Law & Practice); FD2 (Drafting of Specifications); FD3 (Amendment of Specifications); and FD4 (Infringement & Validity). They include FD4 resitter courses.
The courses are delivered by experienced IP professionals. For the FC papers, you will receive substantial material focusing on the key parts of the syllabus. These are supported by presentations by the tutor(s) and practice and feedback on exam questions. For the FD papers, the courses are highly practical: most involve pre-course work and during the course there is practice and feedback from the tutors on past questions. Tutor feedback is also provided on work set before and after the courses, including marking of past papers on certain courses.
All the courses are supported by an online Moodle resources and communication forum. The face-to-face courses are held in Milton Keynes. Course attendees have achieved excellent success rates in the exams, with many becoming prizewinners.
We provide discounts for firms or individuals who book five or more courses.
