About the Role

We are seeking a recent graduate with a 2.1 or first class degree result, or post-graduate with at least a good first degree, in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical science, biotechnology, or related discipline to train to become a patent attorney. In addition to a strong academic background, you will need good interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and excellent attention to detail. A competitive salary is offered, with a start date as soon as possible, with interviews ongoing.

As a trainee patent attorney you will be given full training and support in order to become qualified as a Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney. This comprises mentoring and supervision by the partners, in-house tutorials, external lectures and attending the Queen Mary Certificate Course in Intellectual Property Law.
