Deadline

22 Apr 2019

Carpmaels & Ransford is delighted to launch a two-week Intern programme in 2019.

About our programme

Internships and other insights into the patent profession are notoriously difficult to obtain and therefore this is a rare opportunity to experience first-hand working within one of Europe’s leading firms of patent attorneys.

Our structured programme includes seminars, case studies, work shadowing and involvement in client meetings and active cases. There is also the opportunity to see the social side of the firm, engaging with all members of the team from Partners to Trainees.

The intern programme will run from 24 June to 5 July 2019 at our offices in Central London and will be paid with a contribution made toward travel expenses. Interns will be responsible for their own accomodation.

Who should apply

Applicants should have an outstanding academic record (minimum of 360 UCAS points and on course for a 2:1 or above) in one of the following disciplines: physics, mechanical engineering, ecectronics/electrical engineering, IT/computer science, materials science, chemical engineering, chemistry, pharmacology, biochemistry or molecular biology.

Applicants must be avaliable for the duration of the internship.

Priority will be given to applicants who are expecting to complete their academic studies or research in 2019.

How to apply

Applications must be made via the online application form by 22nd April 2019 and will require a copy of your CV and cover letter (of no more than one page) explaining why you should be considered for an internship.

Short interviews via Skype will be scheduled during May.

The number of internships we are able to offer is limited. Failure to be selected for an internship should not discourage applicants from applying for a graduate position or other future events.
