The role

Our Tech Team is instrumental in delivering exceptional client services and supporting the firm’s operational excellence. Our commitment to leveraging advanced technologies and fostering a culture of continuous innovation sets us apart..

Our department boasts a diverse array of professionals, each an expert in their field. Our skilled developers, astute business analysts, robust infrastructure specialists, and dedicated desktop support engineers form the backbone of our technological prowess. Together, they are pivotal in enabling the delivery of outstanding professional advice and client service.

The Firm is currently going through an exciting period of change and transformation and as a result, we are seeking an IPMS Administrator to join our Tech team. The main focus of this role will be on the support, maintenance and development of our Inprotech IPMS, which is our core business system. As well as being the key source of case related information, Inprotech also integrates widely with other systems used by the firm, including our Sharepoint DMS, K2 workflows and our in-house web-based National Validation system, which is used by our clients.

The successful candidate will also be involved with other projects, including the ongoing development and integration of our existing systems and implementation of new products and features through upgrades, to achieve further automation and streamlining of our processes.

What you’ll be doing

  • Gain an understanding of one the firm’s core business systems namely Inprotech.
  • Set up and maintenance of rules, screen configuration and user access in Inprotech.
  • Set up and maintenance of emails and letters generated from Inprotech.
  • Designing and setting up reports out of Inprotech as required by Partners and other members of the firm.
  • Supporting users in the Records & Formalities department.
  • Production of technical documentation for business as usual applications and for projects, upgrades and production fixes.
  • Collaboration with other departments.
  • Identifying areas where the IPMS can be used to better effect.
  • Building and sharing knowledge on technology solutions.

Skills and experience we’re looking for

The ideal candidate will have some experience in an applications support role in a professional services environment. Previous experience in an IP firm or a regulated industry is desirable. However, this is not essential and we welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds with varied experiences.

Essential skills

  • Implementing business process requirements in software systems / workflow management systems.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite or products.
  • Attention to detail.

Desirable skills

  • Administration of an Inprotech or another IPMS installation.
  • Experience working in an Agile team (including working with e.g. Atlassian Jira)
  • SQL Server 2016 and above to include:
    –    T-SQL querying skills including Stored Procedures and Functions.
    –    SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Experience working with document management systems and content management systems.
  • Awareness of secure coding practices.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Experience working with Source Control systems.
  • VBA in Microsoft Office products.
  • JSON / XML / XSL / HTML / CSS.
