We’re looking for high calibre graduates who possess a strong first degree (minimum 2:1 or equivalent) or PhD in a relevant technical discipline such as general engineering, electronic and/or electrical engineering or physics. To train as a patent attorney, you must have a STEM degree in a relevant technical discipline. Further information on degree requirements for each group can be found on our careers website. Your degree will be complemented by strong A Levels (typically 3 at grade A or equivalent).
In addition to your technical skills, you demonstrate a natural curiosity and inquisitiveness, with a flair for writing and a meticulous eye for detail. Having an excellent command of both written and spoken English, you enjoy analysing and conceptualising complex matters, with a passion and aptitude for problem solving.
Our recruitment process is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your interest in a career within IP. If successful following the completion of our brief online application form and submission of your CV, you’ll be asked to complete a short pre-recorded video interview. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to attend a two-stage interview process, where you will meet a number of representatives from the firm.
