Training vacancy for a 2019 starter for EIP Life in the London office.

It enjoys an excellent reputation for providing IP services primarily in niche specialisms and was the first firm in the UK to incorporate patent attorneys and IP litigation solicitors in a combined partnership.

EIP has a practice which has been built upon direct client work, with a client base which include anti-body technology, immunology, cell-based therapies, regenerative medicines, bio-arrays, nutraceutical, biopolymers, micro-biological engineering, small molecule pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. With offices nationally, our business come to us by recommendation from existing clients and on the strength of our reputation.

EIP Life, the Biotechnology division of EIP, is a growing practice group headed by a partner with a unique combination of IP and Legal qualifications. We have a need to recruit a highly-skilled trainee patent attorney with experience in Biotechnology and/or related life science topics to start either immediately or in Autumn 2019. Typically, candidates will have completed an relevant undergraduate degree and possibly either a MSc or PhD in addition.

Those trainee attorneys who have been most successful at EIP have been able to demonstrate:

  • Appropriate professional attitude (e.g. personable, prepared, flexible and enthusiastic)
  • Excellent academic background
  • Strong analytical skills; Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The ability to demonstrate initiative and the ability to act independently
