Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on all aspects of Patent Law, focusing on Engineering and Aerospace technologies
- Draft and prosecute patent applications in the UK, Europe, and worldwide
- Conduct thorough patentability and freedom-to-operate searches
- Provide strategic counsel on patent portfolios and IP rights management
- Represent clients in oppositions and appeals before the European Patent Office (EPO)
- Collaborate closely with inventors, engineers, and in-house legal teams to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into robust patent applications
Qualifications:
- Part/ Qualified Patent Attorney (UK and/or European)
- Technical degree in Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field
- Proven experience in drafting and prosecuting patents within the Engineering or Aerospace sectors
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to grasp complex technical details
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
