They are currently seeking a dynamic and ambitious Trade Mark Attorney to join their team based in Essex. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a part-qualified to newly qualified attorney to contribute to the firm’s continued success and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting trade mark searches and advising clients on availability and registrability of trade marks.
- Drafting and filing trade mark applications.
- Handling prosecution matters, including responding to examination reports and oppositions.
- Providing strategic advice on trade mark protection and enforcement.
- Conducting trade mark portfolio management, including renewals and maintenance.
- Assisting with contentious matters, including trade mark oppositions, cancellations, and enforcement actions.
Requirements:
- Part-qualified to newly qualified Trade Mark Attorney.
- Strong academic background in law, preferably with a focus on intellectual property.
- Experience in handling trade mark matters, either gained through previous legal roles or during training.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to provide strategic advice to clients.
