They are currently seeking a dynamic and ambitious Trade Mark Attorney to join their team based in Essex. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a part-qualified to newly qualified attorney to contribute to the firm’s continued success and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting trade mark searches and advising clients on availability and registrability of trade marks.
  • Drafting and filing trade mark applications.
  • Handling prosecution matters, including responding to examination reports and oppositions.
  • Providing strategic advice on trade mark protection and enforcement.
  • Conducting trade mark portfolio management, including renewals and maintenance.
  • Assisting with contentious matters, including trade mark oppositions, cancellations, and enforcement actions.

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified to newly qualified Trade Mark Attorney.
  • Strong academic background in law, preferably with a focus on intellectual property.
  • Experience in handling trade mark matters, either gained through previous legal roles or during training.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to provide strategic advice to clients.
