IP Associate (TM/Litigation) – London
My client is a prestigious full-service international law firm with a strong reputation in Intellectual Property Litigation. The firm advises a diverse client base, including major global brands and innovative businesses, on high-profile and complex IP disputes. The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an IP Litigator to handle complex contentious matters, including High Court and IPEC litigation, as well as multi-jurisdictional disputes. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced partners, advising clients on high-value cases and contributing to the continued growth of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a variety of contentious IP matters, including High Court, IPEC and multi-jurisdictional disputes
- Advising clients on trade mark, copyright, design rights and broader soft IP issues
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents, providing clear and commercially focused advice
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across different practice areas and jurisdictions
- Supporting business development initiatives, building strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities
- Supervising and delegating work to junior team members where appropriate
Key Requirements:
- Strong academic background with a solid understanding of IP law
- Proven experience handling complex IP litigation within a comparable law firm
- Exposure to High Court, IPEC and multi-jurisdictional cases
- Excellent drafting and analytical skills, ensuring precise and practical legal advice
- A commercial mindset with an understanding of how a full-service law firm operates
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues
- A proactive approach to business development and client relationship management
