A highly regarded intellectual property firm, known for its strong reputation, technical expertise, and collaborative culture, is seeking a Senior IP Legal Assistant to join its team. With offices across the UK and Europe, the firm is recognised as a leader in the IP sector, offering an excellent working environment and a commitment to professional development. This is a senior-level position within the firm’s IP Professional Support Team, requiring candidates to hold a CIPA or EPAC qualification. The successful candidate will take on a key support role, working closely with fee earners and contributing to the efficient management of IP portfolios.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling client and foreign agent queries.
  • Managing assignments, name/address changes, and notarisation/legalisation of documents.
  • Coordinating and filing multiple applications, including PCT and EP filings.
  • Preparing high-quality correspondence and official forms for the EPO, UKIPO, EUIPO, and WIPO.
  • Overseeing diaries and reminder systems to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Assisting with training, supervision, and mentoring of junior team members.
  • Supporting invoicing, portfolio reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

 

Requirements:

  • CIPA or EPAC qualification (essential).
  • Proven experience in a similar IP support role.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in IP-related technologies and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
