Carpmaels & Ransford is delighted to launch a two-week Intern programme in 2017.
About our programme
Internships and other work experience in the patent profession are notoriously difficult to obtain and this is therefore a rare opportunity to experience first-hand working within one of Europe’s leading firms of patent attorneys.
Our structured programme will include seminars, case studies, work shadowing and involvement in client conferences and active cases, as well as an opportunity to see the social side of the firm, engaging with all members of the firm from Partners to Trainees.
The intern programme will run from 26th June to 7th July 2017 at our offices in Central London and will be paid with a contribution made toward travel expenses. Interns will be responsible for their own accommodation.
Who should apply?
Applicants should have an outstanding academic record (minimum of 360 UCAS points and on course for a 2:1 or above) in one of the following disciplines: physics, mechanical engineering, electronics/electrical engineering, IT/computer science, materials science, chemical engineering, chemistry, pharmacology, biochemistry, molecular biology.
Applicants must be available for the duration of the internship.
Priority will be given to applicants who are expecting to complete their academic studies or research in 2018.
How to apply?
Applications must be made via the online application form on our website by 1st May 2017 and will require a copy of your CV and a letter (of no more than one page) explaining why you should be considered for an internship. Short interviews via Skype will be scheduled during the latter half of May 2017.
The number of internships we are able to offer is very limited and failure to be selected for an internship should not discourage application through our normal graduate entry procedure.
