Trade Mark Attorney/Associate (mid/senior)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading international firm, who are looking for a mid/senior level Trade Mark Attorney/Associate to join their team.

They have one of the largest Intellectual Property teams in London, consistently ranked as band 1 in Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners. The successful candidate will join their dedicated Brand Management team, with 4 Partners, 17 Fee Earners and a large support team.

Responsibilities:

• Advising on a broad range of brand-related issues, both contentious and non-contentious.
• Providing assistance with the management of global trademark and design portfolios, including clearance searches, drafting specifications, filing strategies, and worldwide filing programs.
• Handling prosecution issues, drafting arguments, and preparing evidence for Trademark Office objections, third-party oppositions, invalidity actions, and appeals.
• Advising on and drafting settlement agreements, managing trademark disputes such as oppositions, cancellation actions, enforcement.
• Supervising and training junior team members.
• Cultivate new and strengthen existing client relationships.

Requirements:

• Ideally 4-8 years PQE as a solicitor or trade mark attorney gained within a similar environment.
• Understanding and exposure to international portfolio management for trade marks and designs; negotiations with contentious IP matters and domain name disputes.
• Keen interest in working for a global firm and handling cross-border matters.
• Clear understanding of commercial law firm operations.
• Ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven work efficiently.
• Collaborative approach with colleagues in a dynamic, fast-paced team.
• Skilled in client interaction and relationship management.
• Knowledge of various IP rights, including copyright and design rights.
