Our Tech & Eng team consists of over 60 individuals who advise the highest profile clients across all areas of technology and engineering.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for a part or recently newly-qualified patent attorney with a background in physics, electronic engineering, computer science, software or engineering to join our Tech & Eng team and focus on supporting some of our fantastic clients.

The team have recently won a brilliant new client and we are going through an exciting phase of growth which is creating a number of new opportunities. In this role you will have the chance to support Partners and clients across the group. You will also have the unique opportunity to work with one of our newest clients on their truly cutting-edge technology, so you will have the opportunity to help build and forge a trusted and valued long-lasting relationship.

Alongside our new client, this role will also allow you to work with some of the firm’s prestigious existing clients such as Cisco, Dropbox, Google, LG, and Netflix.

For this role our ideal candidate will be commercially minded, hard-working, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a desire to learn from those around them and become and a true expert in their field.

You will ideally be newly qualified or have at least completed your Certificate in IP Law and your pre-EQE and have spent the early part of your career honing your skills. You should have a broad range of foundation experience working on a wide range of prosecution and drafting work and be confident liaising with clients and examining bodies. We have an excellent support network in place for our trainees as well as an extensive internal training and development pathway to help with exam preparation and progression. It doesn’t stop there though, once you are dual qualified we have an Associate development programme to ensure you continue investing in your learning and development.
