The team and the role
We have an internationally renowned Trade Marks team; a number of our team members have been recognised as Global Leader by the World Trademark Review and we are ranked in the top tier in the legal directories Legal 500, Chambers, MIP and WTR. In 2023, we were awarded ‘UK Trade Mark Prosecution Firm of the Year’ by World Trademark Review; having won the equivalent award in 2022 by Managing Intellectual Property.
We have a team of 30 people in our Trade Marks group across our London and Netherlands offices, which enables us to provide a seamless service to clients, both within the region and worldwide.
We have a brilliant chance for an ambitious Associate to join our London team. This is a unique opportunity to join us where you will be supported in developing and growing your skills and career with us whilst acting for some fantastic clients. In this role you will be given the opportunity to:
- Support the Trade Marks team on the full spectrum of matters, working for a variety of clients across sectors and jurisdictions
- Learn and be mentored by our brilliant team who are true experts in the field
- Get involved in client and BD activity
Essential knowledge, skills and abilities
- Ideally you will have qualified as a Trade Mark Attorney and have up to 2 years post qualified experience, but we are also keen to hear from you if you are newly or part-qualified
- Prior experience working on a full range of trade mark matters including: opposition work, trade mark clearance, filing and prosecution, dispute resolution, portfolio management, anti-counterfeiting and enforcement
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Have a keen interest in client relationships and looking to start building your own network of contacts
