The Role
We are seeking to recruit high calibre graduates with an Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or Telecoms background to join the firm to train towards professional status as both UK and European Patent Attorneys.
Successful candidates will gain experience in all aspects of the profession, working under the close supervision of a Partner or Associate of the firm. There will also be contact with a wide range of clients, from small and medium sized enterprises to large corporations, both in the UK and globally.
There is a comprehensive package of training and development, both on the job, and via attendance at the Queen Mary Certificate in IP Law programme, internal and external tutorials, and case conferences.
Applicants should have a good degree from a leading university, great attention to detail, excellent written and spoken English, and a demonstrable curiosity about scientific and engineering developments. Please note that a First class degree/High 2.1 is required.

Our attorneys are qualified at both a UK and European level, with a legal expertise across a full spectrum of technical proficiencies.
With offices in London, Oxford Cambridge, Manchester and York, we operate globally including working closely with a network of trusted foreign attorneys that we have built over many years. Our China operation is run through our dedicated Commercial Consultant based in Shenzhen.
In the last two years, we have experienced significant growth and have seen a 25% increase in both our partnership and the general size of the firm. We were the first legal tenant of the Shard when we moved our UK headquarters to the 15th floor.
