We are currently looking to recruit a trainee patent attorney to join the Engineering team in our Brighton office.
Our team in Brighton is part of a large firm-wide Engineering group which has a wealth of experience in a very wide range of engineering fields such as aviation, civil engineering, marine engineering, medical devices, construction, sanitary products, domestic appliances, micro and nano-engineering. We recognise the importance of considering the full commercial life-cycle of products and our practical and motivated approach to protection ensures that we find the right solution rather than just the easy solution
Candidates must have a proven excellent academic record, with at least a first or upper second class undergraduate degree in Physics or Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical).
You must also be well organised and be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
The position is ideally suited to a recent graduate or post-graduate. Although our preference is to welcome someone on board as soon as possible, we would also welcome applications from those due to graduate in the summer 2015.
The successful applicant can expect to receive an attractive remuneration and benefits package, as well as full training and support as you work towards qualifying as a UK and European Patent Attorney.
