Alistair Hindle Associates are seeking to recruit a trainee patent attorney with a technical background in physics or electronics, and IT.
The successful candidate will initially assist the directors with a wide range of Patent Attorney work and gradually gain responsibility as their knowledge and experience grows. A high standard of training will be provided, as well as support in preparing for the UK and European qualifying examinations. Training will predominantly be provided in-house, but trainees are encouraged to attend appropriate external courses.
We are looking for reliable and personable candidates with strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to pick up complex technical ideas quickly, and an attention to detail.
For this position, applicants should ideally have a good honours degree in physics, electronic engineering or similar. A reasonable level of knowledge of computer software would be an advantage. A post-graduate degree, or industrial experience, is desirable but not essential.
This position has an expected start date of summer or autumn 2017, although there is some flexibility. The closing date for applications is 18 April 2017.
